Plenus Group Serving Up Their Protein Sous Vide

At PGI we are always striving to improve and fine tune our recipes and cooking methods. To that end, we are now cooking the meat for our soups and other products sous vide, including beef, pork, chicken and lobster.

The sous vide method involves slowly cooking vacuum-sealed ingredients in a precisely controlled hot water bath that never rises above the final cooking temperature of the food. The result is meat that’s always tender, juicy and flavorful, and never overcooked. For example, the beef in our Beef Stew and Beef Barley Soup is seasoned and cooked sous vide for 8 hours. You’ll also find slow cooked, sous vide shredded pork in our delicious Cuban Black Bean soup.
